Dover – Solidarity and Kettled Nazis

2 04 2016

Today, anti-fascists from across the country stood in solidarity with locals from around Dover to oppose neo-nazis and assorted far-right rejects who decended on the town, once more openly flying fascist flags and seig heiling.

25 01 2016

There’s less than a week to go until our protest in Dover, and antifascists from across the country are finalising travel details, making sure we get maximum numbers on the streets to support Kent Anti-Racism Network and proudly say that while refugees are welcome here, racists and fascists aren’t!

13 11 2014

It’s another busy weekend for anti-fascists as Saturday sees dual demos in the south and the north.

Rochester

Meet: 12.30, Rochester station ME1 1HQ

Facebook event

In Rochester the BNP splinter group Britain First are back for another dose of humiliation in their increasingly bizarre election campaign.

Rochester and Strood has been a focus of national attention since the sitting Tory MP triggered a by-election by defecting to UKIP. He hopes to keep his seat while becoming Farage’s second MP.  Britain First have jumped into the ring and are running  their deputy leader in the election too, mostly in an attempt at self-publicity.

Britain First Fascists Embarrassed in Rochester

2 11 2014

Yesterday (01/11/14) was Britain First’s “National Day of Action” in Rochester, the town in which their deputy leader, Jayda Fransen, is standing for election. Despite talk on the internet of “hundreds of patriots”, barely 80 fascists actually made it, virtually none of whom were actually from Rochester or Strood. They were opposed and outnumbered by around 100 to 150 local residents and militant anti-fascists.

Meet at the train station, Rochester, Kent, Sat Nov 1st. 12.30pm

Facebook event

As you may have gathered from the national media, a small political party called the United Kingdom Independence Party got its first MP recently by winning a by-election in Clacton. You may also have gathered that they are hoping to win another by-election on November 20th in Rochester and Strood.

Muddying the waters significantly are the widely-despised ex-BNP mosque-‘invading’ flat-cap wearing racists of Britain First, who are also running their deputy leader Jayda Fransen as a candidate on November 20th.

Britain First have become notorious for wearing uniforms like Poundland Moselyites, running ‘patrols’ of largely Muslim areas and ‘invading’ mosques as well as the shameless hawking of patriotic tat and exploiting the gullible to boost their social media profile through prolific use of ‘click-bait’ images. Their own founder admitted they were “overrun with racists and extremists.”
